My name is Emilie, otherwise known as the lady with a thing for cartoons and bad puns, whose horoscope predicts cream cakes in her near future, and who is intent on using her love of film to change the world's perspective on equality. Seeking Aequitas chronicles all of the experiences that I will go through as I seek knowledge about our world and people in general, not just by various diary entries, but by my interactions with others and their personal perceptions about the world around them. There is nothing more fascinating then the deep personal connections that we all share with one another, so come inside and see for yourself how strange this place is.

Information

Hey there, I’m Emilie (like Emily, but with an -ie at the end), and I’m currently a Junior in high school. In my high school career, I’ve continued to pursue my dream of becoming a filmmaker because I want to see a change happen. My goal is to one day produce television shows for teens and young adults that use strong characters with strong senses of justice and humanity.

FFW, also known as the Future Filmmakers Workshop, a program based in New York University, has enlightened me and given me the confidence to use film as an outlet to express my creativity. The many friends I made there continue to inspire me daily with their goals and talents, and I have prospered to this stage thanks to their encouragement, and the help of our professors.

In this blog, I also intend to showcase my experiences- not only with personal posts and inspirational pictures, but with stories shared by my FFW partners/Contributors, and with the many projects that I intend to create, starting now until the end of my time here.

This is where the journey begins.
